Properties
White to pale yellow, cryst powder; sweetish taste.
mp 144-146°. Sparingly
sol in cold, freely in hot water, alcohol, ether. The solns in alcohol
or ether and particularly in glycerol exhibit an amethyst fluorescence.Therapeutic Category (Veterinary)
