Properties

Pale tan waxy solid, mp 50-51°. Vapor pressure at 20°: 5 × 10-7 mm Hg. Soly in water at 25°: 22 mg/l. Sol in most organic solvents except paraffins. Easily hydrolyzed by dil acids. LD50 orally in rats: 4000 mg/kg (Finney).
