Bitter crystals, mp 197-200°. Freely sol in methanol; sol in ethanol, chloroform, acetic acid; slightly sol in water, acetone. Practically insol in acetonitrile, ether, benzene. LD50 in rats (mg/kg): 4000 s.c., 66 i.v.; in mice (mg/kg): 1400 orally (Levis).
