Properties
Black powder. Stable in air when dry, oxidized
to CuSO4 by moist air. Practically insol in water, alcohol,
dil acids, alkalies. Sol in KCN soln, NH4OH, hot HNO3.Use
In antifouling paints; in prepn of mixed catalysts;
in development of aniline black dye in textile printing.
