Made by diazotizing aniline dissolved in HCl
with NaNO2 and then adding a concd soln of sodium acetate:

Properties
Golden-yellow, small crystals. mp 98°. Explodes when heated to 150°. Insol in water. Freely
sol in benzene, ether, hot alc.Caution
