Properties

Small granular crystals or leaflets from alcohol + water. Unless extremely pure, the crystals are lemon-colored and may turn pink on exposure to light. mp 74°. bp17 176-177°. Slightly sol in water; sol in alcohol, ether, chloroform, acetic acid, many other organic solvents.
