Produced by heating aniline hydrochloride and

Properties
Very refractive liquid; rapidly becomes brown
on exposure to light and air. Aniline-like odor. d2525 0.958.
Solidifies below 80°. bp 204.5°. mp -63.5°. nD20 1.5559. Insol in water. Miscible with
alc, ether and many other organic solvents. Keep well closed and protected from light. LD50 in rats (g/kg): 0.18 i.p., 0.28 orally, 4.7 s.c. (Sziza, Podhragyai).
