Properties

Fine needles from toluene, mp 175°. Sol in aq solns of NaOH, in alcohol, in hot benzene.

Note

Novex is also a trade name for a thermoplastic resin.

Fungicide; esp used against Monosporium apiospermum: Reifferscheid, Seeliger, Dtsch. Med. Wochenschr. 80, 1841, 1850 (1955).
