Crystals from ether + petr ether, mp 46.6-47.5°. bp 271°; bp120 216°; bp14 166°. uv max (96% ethanol): 242-243 nm (ε 13700); in water: 239-240 nm (ε 11200); in cyclohexane: 240 nm (ε 12600). Soly in water at 20°: 25.4 g/l; at 25°: 28.6 g/l.
