Description and references
Sterile soln (pH 7.2-7.9) of a complex of iron,
sorbitol, and citric acid, stabilized with dextrin in a dil soln of
sorbitol. Contains 50 ±2 mg/ml of elemental iron. Average mol wt

Properties
The prepn is hypertonic, stable in serum and rapidly
absorbed from muscle, does not produce hemolysis, affects coagulation
