Crysts from petr ether, mp 39.5°. d445 0.9309; d460 0.91966; d478 0.9095; nD50 1.49148; nD78 1.4860. Turns pink on exposure to air and light. Tendency to polymerize and explode, especially when heated above 250°. Sol in acetone, ethanol, isopropanol. Moderately sol in petr ether.
