Crystals from water + ethanol. Sinters from 135-210°, dec 250°. Soly (g/100 ml): 0.2 in cold water; ≈10 in boiling water; 84.2 in methanol (25°). Practically insol in acetone, benzene. Aq solns are neutral to litmus.
