Oily liquid. bp11 172° (Rona); bp12 155° (Brock). Practically insol in water. Miscible with fat solvents. Easily hydrolyzed by esterases.

Caution

The pure, undiluted liquid is a skin irritant.

Has been used as an anthelmintic.
