From Commiphora abyssinica (Berg) Eng. or from other species of Commiphora, Burseraceae. Yields not less than 30% alcohol-soluble extract. Habit. Nubia, Somaliland, Arabia. Constit. 20-25% resin, 57-61% gum, 7-17% volatile oil and a bitter principle.
