Pale yellow needles from diisopropyl ether, mp 169°. [α]D20 +63° (c = 0.5 in alc). uv max: 342, 238 nm (ε 29100, 5920). Sol in alcohols, ether, acetone, benzene, chloroform; practically insol in water, dil aq acids and alkalies.
