Description and references
Discovered by Chancel in 1853 in crude fusel
oil and obtained therefrom by fractionation; available as a byproduct
of the reaction between carbon monoxide and hydrogen. Toxicity study:

Properties
Liquid; alcoholic and slightly stupefying odor.
