Properties
Pale yellow, somewhat viscid liquid; characteristic
sandalwood odor and taste. d2525 0.965-0.980. nD20 1.500-1.510. Sol in most fixed oils, propylene glycol, mineral oil; in
5 vols 70% alcohol. Insol in glycerin. Keep
well closed, cool and protected from light.Use
Wood in boxes and carvings, as incense. Oil in
perfumes and as fragrance in creams and lotions.
