Monoclinic crystals; camphor-like odor; pungent taste; mp 50°; bp 161-162°. Sublimes at ordinary temp. Sol in about 35 parts water; freely sol in alcohol or ether. Keep well closed in a cool place. LD50 orally in rats: 1 g/kg (Burtner, Lehmann).
