Very hygroscopic, viscous liq. Slight ammoniacal

casein, shellac, dyes; manuf synthetic resins; increasing the penetration
of organic liquids into wood and paper. In the production of lubricants
for the textile industry. Pharmaceutic aid (alkalizer).
