Properties
Red platelets from abs alc, mp 102-104°. Practically insol in water. Sol
in alcohol, carbon tetrachloride, acetic acid, vegetable oils. An
alcoholic soln becomes redder with HCl addition, and is unaltered
by NaOH addition.
