Properties

Crystals, mp 162-166°. Freely sol in acetone, ether, ethanol, methanol and dil sodium hydroxide soln; sol in vegetable oils; moderately sol in glacial acetic acid; slightly sol in benzene, chloroform, petr ether, and dil ethanol. Practically insol in water.
