Properties

Monoclinic plates from water, d 1.849. Becomes anhydr at 110°. mp 250°. Soly of the hexahydrate in water at 25°: 2.0 g/100 ml; at 100°: 25.0 g/100 ml. Insol in alc. Aq solns have an acid reaction.
