White, odorless powder, mp 121-123°. uv max (ethanol): 214, 259 nm. Sol in ethanol, acetone, chloroform, alkaline solns. Practically insol in water, ether, carbon tetrachloride. LD50 i.p. in rats: 2.5 g/kg (Garzia, 1971).
