Properties
Red-brown microcrystalline powder from ethanol
+ water, mp 222-224°. Absorption max (alcohol): 400 nm. Practically insol in water.
Sol in alkali solns with red color, in dioxane, acetone; less sol
in alcohol, ether.Derivative
