Properties
Crystals from alcohol, benzene, or petr ether, mp 61°. Not very stable
and readily assumes yellow color. Volatile with steam. d421.6 1.854.
[α]D20 +39.6° (c = 17 in benzene). Practically insol in water;
sol in about 5 parts abs alcohol; readily sol in ether, benzene, ethyl
acetate, petr ether. uv max (cyclohexane):
