Sodium Nitrite VS

NaNO2 = 69.00

For a 0.1m solution Dissolve 7.5 g of sodium nitrite in water and dilute to 1000.0 mL with the same solvent.

Standardisation. Dissolve 0.150 g of sulfanilic acid in 50 mL of dilute hydrochloric acid and carry out the determination of primary aromatic amino-nitrogen (2.5.8), using the sodium nitrite solution and determining the end-point electrometrically. Standardise immediately before use.

1 mL of 0.1 M sodium nitrite is equivalent to 17.32 mg of C6H7NO3S.
