The shape of the curve may vary depending on the relative importance of each of the factors, but in general, the cumulative amount released asymptotically reaches a value in the end.
There are several equations that can be used to mimic this process, each with its own set of parameters that carry with them almost the entire profile of information encoded within the framework of the system and the confines of the questions asked of (or by) the theory.
