97.0% and not more than 100.0% of C5H11NO2. Consists chiefly of isoamyl nitrite [(CH3)2CHCH2CH2ONO], but other isomers are
also present.
Properties
Clear, yellowish liquid having a peculiar, ethereal,
fruity odor. Volatile even at low temperatures. bp 96°. The N.F. grade has d2525 0.870-0.876. Practically insol in water. Miscible with alcohol, ether.
