A synthetic, strongly basic anion exchange resin contg quaternary ammonium functional groups which are attached to a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. Main constituent: Polystyrene trimethylbenzylammonium as Cl^- anion, also contains divinylbenzene. Avg polymeric mol wt >10⁶; Cl^- content 14-17%.
