Properties

Bright yellow powder. Very stable when dry; hydrolyzes in alkaline solutions (pH 9.0). Absorption max: 492 nm; emission max: 513 nm (c = 5 × 10-7 M in 0.1 M sodium borate).

Use

Fluorescent reagent for conjugation of fluorescein to proteins, carbohydrates and selected polymers.
