Properties

Amber-colored oil, extremely fluid, sp gr 1.28. Soluble in acetone, chloroform, ether, hexane. Insol in water.

Therapeutic Category

Diagnostic aid (radiopaque medium). Antineoplastic when part of the iodine is 131I.
