Description and references

Prepd by reacting 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene with sodium alkoxide, followed by partial reduction and treatment with acetic anhydride: Profft, Chem. Tech. (Leipzig) 5, 393 (1953), C.A. 47, 12757a (1953); by nitration of 1-propoxy-2-acetylaminobenzene: Verkade et al., Rec. Trav. Chim. 66, 374 (1947); also GB 597835 (1948 to N. V. Polak & Schwarz's Essencefabrieken).
