Properties

Crystals from acetone, mp 124-125°. Sublimes in high vacuum at 135°. Dec 180°. Soly at 16° (g/ml): 0.037 of acetone; 0.024 of petr ether (bp 35-40°); 0.020 of methanol. uv max (0.02% sol in petr ether): 265 nm (ε 1.56). [α]D20 +140.5° (8.9 mg in 2 ml acetone), +140.5° (ethanol), +127° (chloroform).
